I have a lot of catching up to do in the blogging world! Here are some highlights from Easter this year!
I really thought Mr. Roman Joel would be born by Easter since my due date was the day after & since everyone was telling me I would go so early. Haha. Funny Joke. No baby! But, it was a great opportunity to spend some quality time with family before life got super crazy 6 days later!
We did a lot of activities and discussion with Haven leading up to Easter to try to teach her the true meaning. I think she grasped it well for being only 2.5 years old. It constantly amazes me how much she really does understand!
In the pics below we are making resurrection rolls. Haven of course loved this activity because it involved food. :) It was so cute to hear her say, "Jesus is not in the tomb! He has risen! Can I eat it now?" Take note of our aprons. I collect them. Haven insists that we all wear aprons when we cook or bake. She picked out which ones we each got. Adam's is lovely! :)
A rare picture of me pregnant! T-minus 10 days!
We were lucky enough to get to have Auntie Mamanda and Uncle Rossypoo in town for Easter. We had fun decorating eggs with Amanda and Grammy Tammy!
Here are the kiddo's Easter baskets. You can tell I put A LOT of thought into them. HA! That's what happens when Easter falls on the day before you are SUPPOSED to have your baby! :) Haven got bath bubbles, sunglasses, and princess underwear...all things she needed. Baby brother got a cute stuffed bear that had bunny ears that you can't see in the picture.
We had my family and our good friend Ashley over for a yummy breakfast on the morning of Easter. We then had an egg hunt for Haven. After that off to New Hope (my parents' church) for Easter service and then to Grandma Dottie's for Easter lunch. It was a fantastic day!
